What is the power of one man to change the world?

In the heady, optimistic days of the Soviet Revolution, Lenin’s premature death led to an enbalming experiment far more radical than we knew. While a wax decoy was put on display in Red Square, the real body was cryogenically frozen and smuggled away to cadres in the Hague…. where it languished forgotten after the heady, optimistic days of 1989. But in 2008, a mechanical malfunction causes the sleeper to awake in this brave new world, disoriented but driven by his powerful threefold agenda. The city will never know what hit it…

In this their international debut, multi-year veterans of Southampton’s 48-hour film festival Fizzy Pictures (Carina Buckley and Kate Nettell) team up with Alec Badenoch (Molthos: Planet of the Bird Women, the Theodor Adorno Jazz Quartet) in the title role, alongside rising young Scottish star Katharine MacDonald to create a truly revolutionary cinematic event.

After the screening, you really need to upload this to Youtube (in two pieces, natch) so your grandmother Edith and the rest of the clan can see it. Well done for your cinematic joie de vive!
